The Indian School of Business (ISB) has announced a new scholarship initiative that will provide financial assistance to 250 students every year enrolled in its management programmes. Eligible students can receive tuition-fee support of up to 100 percent.
Named the ISB25 Scholars Programme, the initiative has been introduced as part of the institution's 25th-anniversary commitments. It will cover students pursuing the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) as well as the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders (PGP YL).
The new scholarship plan is intended to widen access to management education by supporting promising candidates regardless of their financial, geographic or professional circumstances.
Students selected for the ISB25 Scholars Programme may receive tuition-fee waivers ranging from 25 percent to the full cost of tuition. The level of assistance will be determined based on factors including academic merit and financial circumstances.
The initiative adds to ISB's existing scholarship framework, which includes awards based on merit, financial need and diversity. According to the school, approximately one-fourth of students enrolled in its PGP receive some form of financial assistance each year.
ISB had previously provided scholarships exceeding Rs 12 crore to approximately 13 percent of the PGP Class of 2027. The assistance included both partial and full tuition-fee waivers.
ISB's anniversary plans extend beyond scholarships. The institution is also preparing to establish the India Research Commons, a national resource intended to support management researchers across the country.
The proposed platform will bring together curated datasets, research resources, methodological tools and technology-supported infrastructure, including AI-based research capabilities.
By making these resources available to a broader research community, ISB aims to reduce some of the barriers faced by scholars working on management and related disciplines. The initiative is also expected to allow researchers outside ISB to benefit from resources and capabilities developed by the school.
Another component of the anniversary programme is a national faculty development initiative for management educators.
Through this programme, ISB plans to share aspects of its teaching methodology, classroom practices and technology-enabled approaches with faculty members and management institutions around India.
The objective is to help strengthen teaching capabilities and encourage management institutes to incorporate newer approaches into their academic programmes.
The new initiatives follow several recent efforts by ISB to broaden its contribution to management education.
In 2025, the institution introduced the PGP YL, admitting its first cohort of 130 students. More than one-third of that inaugural group received tuition-fee waivers.
ISB has also launched ISB Discover, a digital platform designed to make research produced by its faculty more accessible to policymakers, business professionals and members of the wider public.
The school's 25th-anniversary programme places greater emphasis on extending its academic resources beyond its own campuses and student community.
Established in 2001, ISB operates campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali. Over the years, it has developed an international alumni community comprising more than 21,000 members spread across over 65 countries.
Through the ISB25 commitments, the institution plans to use its academic, research and teaching capabilities to expand access to management education while contributing more broadly to India's research and higher-education ecosystem.
The annual allocation of 250 scholarships, alongside the proposed research commons and faculty development programme, represents a broader effort by ISB to extend its impact beyond its core management programmes.
