The wide range of options is intended to help students understand different areas of study and potential career opportunities before making important academic decisions.
For students in Classes 9 and 10, the courses can provide exposure to different disciplines before they select Science, Commerce or Humanities for Class 11.
Students in Classes 11 and 12 can use the programme to explore specialised fields that may help them evaluate undergraduate study options and possible career directions.
By introducing students to multiple disciplines at an early stage, the initiative aims to support more informed decisions regarding subjects, higher education and career planning.
The programme is being implemented with the support of JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi.
At the school level, Principal Dr Mohd Arshad Khan is overseeing the initiative. PGT Computer Science Ms Wasiya Siddiqui has been appointed as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for coordinating activities related to the programme.
Students who meet the prescribed course requirements, including assignments and examinations, will be eligible to receive e-certificates from the Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE), IIT Madras.
The collaboration is expected to give school students greater exposure to emerging academic disciplines while helping them assess potential pathways for higher education and future careers.
