JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Dates Announced, Registration Update | News

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the examination schedule for the first session of JEE Main 2027, giving engineering aspirants clarity on when the entrance test will take place. The application schedule, however, is yet to be notified.

JEE Main 2027: January Exam Schedule

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 will be conducted on six dates in January. The scheduled examination dates are:

  • January 22, 2027
  • January 23, 2027
  • January 24, 2027
  • January 28, 2027
  • January 29, 2027
  • January 30, 2027

With the examination calendar now available, students can begin planning their preparation and keep track of the upcoming application process.

When Will JEE Main 2027 Registration Begin?

NTA has not yet provided an official date for the opening of the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application window.

Students should therefore rely only on announcements issued through the official NTA and JEE Main channels. Dates circulating on social media, coaching websites or other unofficial platforms should not be considered confirmed unless they are formally announced by the examination authority.

The previous admission cycle may provide some indication of the possible timeline. For JEE Main 2026 Session 1, applications began on October 31, 2025, while the examination was conducted from January 21 to January 28, 2026. However, the schedule for 2027 may differ.

What Students Will Need to Do During Registration

Once the application portal is activated, candidates will generally need to complete the online form by providing their personal and educational information.

The application process is expected to involve several stages, including:

  • Entering candidate and academic details
  • Uploading the required documents and photographs
  • Selecting the examination paper
  • Choosing the preferred language
  • Providing examination-city preferences
  • Paying the prescribed application fee
  • Reviewing and submitting the completed form

Candidates should keep the necessary documents and information ready in advance so they can complete the application without unnecessary delays once registration opens.

JEE Main 2027 Will Be Conducted in Two Sessions

JEE Main is held in two phases, giving candidates an additional opportunity to appear for the examination and potentially improve their performance. While the January Session 1 schedule has now been announced, NTA has not yet released the examination dates for Session 2, which is expected to take place in April 2027.

The examination will be available in 13 languages, allowing candidates to select their preferred language while applying.

What Aspirants Should Do Now

For students preparing for JEE Main 2027, January 22 is currently the most important date on the calendar, as it marks the beginning of Session 1.

Until the registration schedule is officially released, aspirants should concentrate on their preparation and monitor the official JEE Main portal and NTA announcements for updates regarding the application form, registration deadline and other important instructions.
