Free Coaching for SSC, Banking, Civil Services in Madhya Pradesh | News

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to launch a free coaching initiative for students preparing for competitive examinations in Madhya Pradesh. The programme, titled “Mama Coaching Classes,” will begin on March 5 and aims to support aspirants preparing for government recruitment tests.

The coaching programme will initially operate in Vidisha, Raisen and Bhairuunda districts. The initiative is intended to provide structured academic guidance without any fees, helping students access quality preparation regardless of their financial background.

The announcement comes ahead of Chouhan’s birthday on March 5, which will be observed in Vidisha as Prem-Seva Sankalp Diwas. As part of the occasion, he has outlined several commitments, with education and talent promotion identified as key priorities. The coaching programme is being presented as an effort to expand opportunities for young aspirants.

The classes will offer preparation for several competitive examinations, including those conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), banking recruitment agencies, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Forest Service. The goal is to strengthen students’ readiness for both state and national-level recruitment exams.

Free Coaching to Improve Access

Private coaching centres often charge high fees, which can limit access for many students. By introducing free coaching classes, the programme seeks to ease this financial burden and make exam preparation more accessible to students from different economic backgrounds.

The training will focus on strengthening conceptual understanding, developing effective exam strategies and encouraging regular and disciplined preparation.

Launching the programme in Vidisha, Raisen and Bhairuunda is expected to benefit students in regions where organised coaching facilities are limited and many candidates rely on independent study.

Education and talent development have been highlighted as important themes of the commitments being announced on March 5. The coaching initiative is being positioned as a long-term effort to support youth development and improve employment readiness.

Programme to Honour Academic Achievers

Alongside the coaching launch, another initiative called “Prem-Sundar Pratibha Samman” will be introduced in memory of Chouhan’s parents.

Under this scheme, students who secure top positions in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations across eight Vidisha Lok Sabha constituencies will receive cash awards of Rs. 51,000, Rs. 31,000 and Rs. 21,000. The top three performers at the parliamentary constituency level will also be given special recognition.

Additional initiatives related to healthcare and social outreach are also expected to be announced during the event. However, the primary focus will remain on expanding educational support and recognising academic excellence among students.
