NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Correction Window Open for Address & Exam City Updates | News


The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the correction process for students appearing in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination. Candidates can now modify their current residential address and preferred examination cities before the revised test date.

Important: The correction facility will remain active from May 15 to May 21, 2026 until 11:50 PM.

Why the Re-Exam is Being Conducted

The earlier NEET UG 2026 examination was cancelled after concerns regarding alleged irregularities and paper leak reports surfaced. As a result, authorities scheduled a fresh examination to ensure fairness and transparency in the admission process.

Changes Allowed During Correction Window

Candidates are permitted to update only selected fields during this correction phase:

  • Present residential address
  • First preferred exam city
  • Second preferred exam city

If students do not make any changes, their previously selected examination city preferences will remain unchanged automatically.

No Correction Fee

The NTA has confirmed that no additional payment is required for making these updates online.

Restrictions on Editing

No modifications other than address and exam city preferences will be accepted during this period. Requests submitted after the deadline will not be considered under any circumstances.

Admit Card & City Intimation Slip

Examination city slips, admit cards, and further instructions related to the examination are expected to be released by June 14, 2026 on the official NEET website.
