The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised candidates who appeared for the NEET UG 2026 re-test to verify or update their bank account information on the official portal before 11:50 pm on July 7, 2026. Candidates who fail to complete the process within the deadline could experience delays or may not receive their refund.
According to the agency, nearly 8,29,510 candidates have already confirmed or updated their banking details. However, a considerable number of eligible applicants have yet to complete the verification process, prompting the NTA to issue another reminder.
The refund process has already begun for candidates whose bank account information has been successfully verified. Applicants who complete the update before the deadline will be included in the next phase of refund transfers.
The NTA is expected to announce the NEET UG 2026 re-test results by July 20. Officials have indicated that the evaluation process is progressing according to schedule, ensuring that the medical admissions calendar remains unaffected.
The re-test was conducted on June 21 after the original NEET UG examination held on May 3 was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak. The incident affected more than 20 lakh candidates who had registered for the examination.
The provisional answer key was published on June 25, allowing candidates to raise objections until June 28. A fee of Rs 200 per question was charged for each challenge, with valid objections qualifying for a refund of the amount paid. Officials have reported receiving approximately 10,000 objections, all of which are being reviewed before the final answer key and results are released.
