The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially withdrawn the Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination conducted in 2021 after recommendations from the state government and an administrative review.
The examination had remained under scrutiny for several years because of allegations related to paper leaks, impersonation, and other recruitment irregularities. Authorities believe the latest decision will help restore confidence in the recruitment process.
The upcoming recruitment test will not include fresh applications. Only candidates who appeared in the original 2021 examination will be permitted to participate again.
According to RPSC, approximately 3.83 lakh candidates are expected to qualify for the re-exam process.
Since several years have passed since the original recruitment drive, candidates will be allowed to update their application details through the official RPSC portal.
The correction facility will begin on May 16.
Candidates are advised to complete all corrections within the prescribed timeline to avoid issues during admit card release or further recruitment stages.
The SI Recruitment Exam 2021 became controversial after allegations of unfair practices surfaced during the selection process. Investigations were initiated in connection with paper leaks and the use of proxy candidates.
Over time, the issue triggered protests by aspirants who demanded cancellation of the examination and a fresh recruitment process based on transparency.
The decision has provided relief to many candidates who had been seeking a fair recruitment system. Aspirants now have another opportunity to prepare for the examination under revised and more transparent conditions.
