The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has confirmed the release date for the 2026 Higher Secondary (HS) examination results. The results will first be declared during a press briefing and will then be made available online for students.
According to an official update issued on April 22, 2026, the results are scheduled to be announced on May 14, 2026. This update is significant for the large number of students who appeared for the examination across the state.
The formal announcement will take place at Vidyasagar Bhavan in Salt Lake, Kolkata, starting at 10:30 AM. Students will be able to access their results online from 11:00 AM through designated official websites.
The HS examinations were conducted between February 12 and February 27, 2026. Approximately 7.1 lakh candidates appeared for the exams, including more than 6.35 lakh students from 6,837 schools across 23 districts of West Bengal. This year marked the first time the exams were held under a semester-based system.
The results are being released 76 days after the completion of the examinations, indicating an efficient evaluation and processing timeline by the Council.
