PG Admission General Terms & Conditions 2026
- The candidates who have passed the B.A. / B.Sc. (Honours) and Or Major Examination in the year 2026, 2025, 2024 and 2023 only are allowed to apply for admission 2-year NEP PG program in Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Education, Microbiology and Zoology for the Academic Session 2026-2028.
- The 80% seats in each of the above-mentioned six subjects are reserved for the candidates who are going to be graduated (present 5th semester) in the year of 2026 from the West Bengal State University (WBSU), Barasat, WB. Merit list will be prepared strictly on the basis of the merit point (Percentage of marks obtained in Major subjects till 5th semester). The Eligibility for Application: For NEP candidates, all the 5 semesters should be cleared without any backlog.
- The remaining seats (20%) will be available to the B.A. / B.Sc. (Honours) and Or Major graduates of other UGC recognized Universities (year 2026, 2025, 2024 and 2023), all back year candidates (passed in WBSU, 2025, 2024 and 2023) and the rest of WBSU candidates, who could not make it to the 80% merit list. Merit list will be prepared strictly on the basis of the merit point (Percentage of total marks obtained in Core course + DSE course) for CBCS candidates and Major paper for NEP candidates.
- No admission test will be taken for the preparation of merit list.
- If 80% seats reserved for WBSU students (applicable for all categories) remain vacant, those may be filled up with the undergraduate students of other Universities. Similarly, if the 20% seats reserved for the students from other universities remain unfilled, those may be filled up with the students of WBSU.
- The 80% and 20% seats have separate reservation quota as per the Government norms for SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates in each subject. The SC, ST and OBC candidates belonging to the State of West Bengal only will be eligible for this benefit and SC, ST and OBC. Candidates of other States of the country will be treated at par with the candidates belonging to General category.
- The 5% seats of each subject are reserved for the Differently abled (Divyang) candidates.
- The list of all eligible candidates for both WBSU (80%) and other University (20%) category will be available in College Website.
- The Provisional Merit List of WBSU category for 80% seats in each subject will also be published in the College Website.
- Similarly, Provisional Merit List for 20% Category will be prepared and subsequently published in the Website.
- For CBCS candidates, all the 6 semesters should be cleared.
- There is no application fee for the candidates.
- Refund Policy of the admission fee and caution money: This policy is guided chiefly by the UGC norms in addition to the mandates, if any, from the Government of West Bengal. No refund could be made of the amount, which the college has already deposited through the treasury route. Application for the refundable amount only can be entertained till the time Semester I come to its close, subject to the multiple conditions, which naturally come in for consideration under the present reference.
- The candidates who will not be selected during the first phase of admission from the merit list, must log in on the Admission portal and register their willingness for admission by availing the "SHOW INTEREST" function on their dash board.
