Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta – Kolkata is now accepting applications for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program for the academic year 2025–2026.
Key Information:
- Program: Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
- Duration: Four (4) years
- Application Fee: NIL
- Specializations: Painting, Painting (Indian Style), Modelling and Sculpture, Graphic Design / Applied Art, Textile Design, Design: Wood and Leather, Ceramic Art and Pottery.
- Selection Process: Admissions will be based on the Higher Secondary (H.S.) results, the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination, and viva-voce.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have completed the H.S. (12th grade) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University, as approved by the University of Calcutta.
- Reservation: ST, SC, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS, and PH as per West Bengal Government rules.
- Age Limit: Maximum 23 years as of 1st July 2025. Candidates must have passed the H.S. examination or equivalent not later than 2023.
Examination Materials:
All candidates must bring basic painting materials such as: Quarter sheet board, Pen, pencil, eraser, Watercolours, etc.
