Admission to the Ph.D. Programme under the Research Centre in Humanities and Social Sciences, Kharagpur College for the Academic Session 2024-2025

In accordance with Vidyasagar University Notification No. VU/R/Ph.D/543/2026 dated 17.04.2026, all enlisted candidates are hereby directed to complete the admission formalities for the Ph.D. Programme (2024-25) under the Research Centre in Humanities and Social Sciences as per the instructions given below:

1. Online Admission:

All enlisted candidates are required to complete their admission through the College’s Official Admission Portal https://kharagpurcollege.in by paying the prescribed fee of Rs. 34,100/- (Rupees Thirty-Four Thousand One Hundred only) within 25.04.2026 to 05.05.2026.

No requests for extension will be entertained.

2. Payment of Fees:

At the time of online admission, candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 34,100/-, which includes:

Admission Fee: Rs. 10,000/-
Coursework Fee: Rs. 10,000/-
Course Work Examination Fees: Rs 1000/-
Library Fees: Rs. 1000/-
University Enrolment Fee: Rs. 12,100/-

The Enrolment Fee of Rs. 12,100/- is as prescribed by Vidyasagar University (Notification dated 21.04.2026).

Payment should be made through the Payment Gateway on the Admission Portal of Kharagpur College. All admitted candidates must appear in person on 06.05.2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Room No. 208 of Kharagpur College with all original documents for verification

3. Candidates are requested to submit

(i) A duly filled Ph.D. Admission Form as prescribed by Vidyasagar University (available on www.vidyasagar.ac.in Download Centre),
(ii) along with a Resume

4. Candidates must produce the following documents in original at the time of verification and submit one set of self-attested photocopies of the same

a) Copy of the payment receipt of Rs. 34,100/-
b) No Objection Certificate in original (NOC): Mandatory for in-service candidates only.
c) Admit Card of Madhyamik Examination.
d) All Mark Sheets and Certificates from Madhyamik to Postgraduate Degree.
e) NET/SET/SLET/GATE Certificate.
f) Reservation Certificate (if applicable).
g) Aadhar Card
