Essential Qualification
55% marks in aggregate in M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology/Applied Psychology/Clinical Psychology from any recognized University/Institute (for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD category minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required). Candidate who have appeared in M.A./M.Sc. Final examination may apply, provided they can submit/produce final marks/grades before the board of examinations for viva voce on or before the date of viva voce.

(As per University of Calcutta regulations, reservation rules are applicable to domicile of West Bengal candidates only)

The Entrance Test would be held in offline (in-person) mode within the premises of University of Calcutta, Kolkata.
Details of Written examination
  • The written test would be of 100 marks comprising: 60 MCQs each carrying 1 marks (60) and 1 long answer question carrying 40 marks (40). There would be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
  • 1 hour will be allotted for 60 MCQ and 30 minutes will be allotted for the long answers of 40 marks.
  • Long answers of those candidates will only be considered for evaluation who will secure at least 25% marks (15 out of 60 for candidates of general category, 11 for SC, ST & PWD, OBC A & OBC B 13.5) in the MCQs.
  • Entrance test result will be published on the website consisting marks obtained in both MCQs and long question.
  • On the basis of marks obtain in written examination candidates will be called for vivavoce. Viva-voce will be of 50 marks.
  • Student qualifying both the written examination and viva-voce will be considered for final selection to the course which will be published on the website with score.
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in written test (100 marks) plus viva voce (50 marks).
  • Selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit (marks obtained in written test 100 marks plus viva voce 50 marks).
  • Cut-off marks for the reserve category candidates will be followed as University rules/practice.

Number of seats: 12 (UR-06, SC-03,ST-01,OBC-A-1,OBC-B-1; seats reservation for PWD is 5% horizontally).

**Application fee: Rs. 1,000/ (for General & others candidates) & Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PWD candidates to be paid online through the admission portal using BillDesk gateway.

At the time of entrance examination (written) the candidates must bring Hall Ticket downloaded from admission portal and photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Driving license/PAN/Passport)

On the day of Viva-voce, candidate must bring a printed copy of the online application form submitted along with all self-attested testimonials as stated below and all original documents for verification.
a) A printed copy of the online generated Application Form.
b) The transaction receipt of Application fee payment.
c) Self-attested photocopies of Mark sheet & Certificates from Class X, Class XII, Graduation and Post-graduation.
d) Self-attested photocopy of proof of Date of Birth – copy of Class X admit card / certificate mentioning the Date of Birth.
e) Self-attested photocopies of proof of SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD candidate (if applicable).
f) Domicile Certificate for reserved category candidates of other states.
g) Self-attested photocopy of Aadhaar card.
h) Copy of APPAR ID.

Admission fee – Rs. 5,000/- (for each year)
Tuition fee – Rs. 5,000/- (per month)
Others Fee:
i) Session Charge: Rs. 50/- per year
ii) Library Fee: Rs. 400/ for 2 yrs.
iii) Identity Card Fee: Rs. 75/- once
Examination fee – Rs. 1,000/- (for each yearly examination)

Instruction for online Application for 2 yr. M.Phil.
  • Applicants should enroll first and fill up the application form through link available on the website www.caluniv.ac.in / www.caluniv-ucsta.net.
  • To submit online application, applicants need to have the following to upload:
    (i) Soft copy of recent Passport size (3.5cm x 3.5cm.) colour photo (in.jpg/ jpeg format less than 20 kb size).
    (ii) Scan copy of signature of the candidate (in jpg/jpeg format less than 20 kb size).
    (iii) Scan copy of all mark sheets from standard10th onwards within max size 200 kb in jpg/jpeg format each.
    (iv) Scan copy of VALID SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS certificate (if applicable) within max size 200 kb in jpg/ jpeg format.
    (v) Scan copy of age proof within max size 200 kb in. jpg/.jpeg format.
  • Applicants should have a valid Email-Id. E-mail Id should be less than 30characters.
    (Password should contain at least one capital letter, one numerical, one small letter and one special character).
  • Create APAAR Id /ABC Id (Please see the instruction how to create APAAR Id/ABC Id).
  • After successful submission of Application Form, download & take a print out of the duly filled in application.
  • After successful submission of online application applicants have to pay the application fee through payment gateway on online mode.
  • Without deposition of application fee application submitted will be treated as incomplete application.
Scan copy of all uploaded documents must be readable.

If it is found that any information given by the candidate is not in conformity with the original documents, the admission will be treated as cancelled.
