B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (B.Ed. CET) 2026
for admission to 2 Year B.Ed. Programme

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing in the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (B.Ed. CET) 2026 for admission to the 2-Year B.Ed. Programme under Dibrugarh University scheduled to be held on 04.07.2026 (Saturday).

A. Eligibility Criteria for Admission

• Candidate with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate) either in:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities
  • OR Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology of Dibrugarh University or any recognized University

  Candidates with specialization in Science and Mathematics must have 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point to be eligible for admission.

*** A candidate securing 50% marks (or equivalent Grade Point) or more in the Honours / Major subject but less than 50% in aggregate (or equivalent Grade Point) in all the courses / papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to the B.Ed. programme.

• The requirement is 50% marks (or equivalent Grade Point) in aggregate.
• Candidate must clear the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by Dibrugarh University for that academic session.

B. Reservation

• Statutory Reservation Policy of the Government of Assam shall be followed.

C. Relaxation

In the eligibility criteria, a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks (or equivalent Grade Point) shall be provided to the candidates:

• Belonging to the SC / ST / OBC / MOBC / PWD categories
• Having a minimum of 5 (five) years teaching experience in a school recognized at least up to the 10^th standard by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Assam.
• A candidate can avail the benefit of relaxation of marks only in any one of the above categories.

D. Application Procedure for the B.Ed. CET 2026

• Application for appearing in the B.Ed. CET 2026 shall be through online mode only. No other means of application shall be accepted.
• Online Registration for submission of Application Form will begin from 05.05.2026. Application for B.Ed. CET 2026 is through online mode only. The last date for submission of application is 25.05.2026 (till 11.55 p.m.).
• For submission of the Online Application Form, intending candidates are advised to follow the instructions below:
  • The candidate shall be required to visit the B.Ed. CET 2026 Portal at www.dibru.ac.in.
  • The candidate needs to register on the portal by clicking the “Register” button and providing name, mobile number, and password. The mobile number will be verified through an OTP. Please remember the password for login.
  • After successful registration, the candidate needs to log in using the registered mobile number and password.
  • After login, click on the “Apply” button corresponding to “B.ED.CET 2026”, which will open the application form. The candidate needs to fill up the application form step by step.
  • After completing the form, click “Submit and Review”. A preview will be displayed. Carefully cross-check all information, and if anything needs correction, you can go back and edit at this stage.
  • After ensuring all details are correct, click “Pay now & Submit the application” and pay the application fee of Rs. 1050/- (Rupees one thousand fifty) through online mode (Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking).
  • The application form will be considered finally submitted only after successful payment and generation of an online receipt confirming the payment.
  • There will be a button to download the Application Form for future reference.
  • Admit Cards will be generated only after the last date of submission of application forms and a few days prior to the date of the Test. Once generated, candidates will be able to download their Admit Cards from the same portal by logging in with their credentials. A notification regarding the generation and availability of Admit Cards on the portal will be published on the Dibrugarh University website.
  • The Candidate shall have to take a print out of the Admit Card and bring the same to the Examination Hall on the Date of the Test for verification.
  • The Submission of Online Application Forms shall be automatically closed after the last date.

There shall be no alternative procedure of Application for applying to the B.Ed. CET 2026 and the University shall not receive any such Application except those submitted as per the procedure mentioned at (2) and (3) above.

Important Note: The University shall not verify the eligibility of a candidate at the time of receiving their Application Forms and Issuing Admit Card to them. The candidates who do not fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria shall not be debarred from appearing the B.Ed. CET, 2026.

However, their candidature shall not be considered at the time of admission to the B.Ed. Programmes conducted by Dibrugarh University and its affiliated colleges. Hence, the intending candidates are requested to ensure themselves regarding fulfillment of the minimum eligibility for admission into the B.Ed. Programme.

E. Centres of the B.Ed. CET 2026

The Common Entrance Test will be conducted in the following Test Centres*:

* The Venues of the Test Centres shall be notified later on. Candidates are advised to visit the Dibrugarh University website frequently to be informed of their Test venues.

F. Documents/ Materials to be uploaded with the B.Ed. CET Application Form

• One coloured passport size photograph of the candidate.
• Signature of the Candidate.
