- All applicants who have secured marks equal to or above the prescribed cut-off are eligible to attend the counselling. Eligible applicants must report to the admission desk at the specified date, time, and venue with a printed copy of the application form submitted through the SAMARTH portal.
- Seat allotment will be made based on the applicants' scores and the preferences exercised by them during counselling, subject to the availability of seats. Eligibility and other prescribed criteria will be verified during the counselling process. If an applicant is found ineligible or fails to produce the required ORIGINAL documents, their provisional candidature will be cancelled.
- Candidates found eligible after document verification will be provisionally allotted seats. All admissions will remain provisional and are subject to the fulfilment of all eligibility conditions and the rules and regulations of Gauhati University (GU). The decision of the Admission Committee will be final.
- The admission fee payment link on the SAMARTH portal will be activated only for candidates who are found to be eligible after successful verification of their original documents.
- Refund of admission fees, if applicable, and within the prescribed schedule, will be processed as per GU and AICTE rules.
- Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of Assam is mandatory for all candidates at the time of counseling.
- Candidates applying under the OBC category must produce a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate issued by the competent authority.
- If any seats remain vacant, the next round of counselling will be held on a date to be notified on the Gauhati University website.
