Admission to Certificate/Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Foreign Languages in French and Russian for the session 2025-2026

• Online application for admission to Certificate/Diploma/Advanced Diploma in French and Russian Language (Session: 2025-2026) in the Department of Foreign Language, The University of Burdwan is invited from the eligible intending applicants, through on-line mode from 13/07/2026 to 27/07/2026 in the online admission portal available on the University website (www.buruniv.ac.in )
• Enrolments of Academic Bank of Credit (Indian Candidates only)
  For enrolment in Academic Bank of Credit (ABC/APAAR) in National Academic Depository (NAD) and procure ABC/APAAR ID which is mandatory as per the UGC order follow the given link:

• Eligibility:
  • For Certificate Course in French & Russian: Graduate in any discipline of any UGC recognized University.
  • For Diploma Course in French & Russian: Graduate in any discipline of any UGC recognized University and Certificate obtained in the relevant Language.
  • For Advanced Diploma Course in French & Russian: Graduate in any discipline of any UGC recognized University and Certificate & Diploma obtained in the relevant Language.
• Reservation of Seats: Reservation as per government rules.
• Mode of Selection for Admission:
  Admission will be done based on merit and grade point will be computed taking into account the marks of the Graduation or Equivalent Examination.
• The University reserves the right to drop or include any name if any suppression of facts on the part of the applicants or any mistake in the calculation of grade point is detected at any stage before and after admission.

• Anti-Ragging Instruction:
  In compliance with the UGC, D.O. No 1-152029 (ARC) pt III, dated 24th May, 2023 and in pursuance to the Judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, dated 08.05.2009 in Civil Appeal No 887/2009, attention of all the applicants and parents are drawn to the “Regulations on Curbing the Menace of ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009” notified by the UGC. The Regulations are available on the UGC website (www.ugc.ac.in )
  Ragging is completely banned in The University of Burdwan and its other centres of learning, and if anyone is found guilty of ragging and/or resorting for ragging in any form it is liable to be appropriately punished as per law.
