PROVISIONAL BROAD MERIT CUM RANK LIST FOR ADMISSION TO FOREIGN
LANGUAGE COURSES OF STUDIES [SESSION: 2025-2026] IN FRENCH & RUSSIAN IN THE
DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BURDWAN

Important Instructions to the candidates:

• The Provisional Broad Merit cum Rank Lists for Admission to Foreign Language courses of studies for the Session: 2025-2026 under the Faculty Council of Arts etc. is published for information of all the concerned, which is a system generated list.
• The Provisional Broad Merit cum Rank Lists for the Courses of studies are published based on Marks obtained in UG Courses. In case of equal percentage (%) marks obtained by two or more candidates in UG Course, The tie-breaking rules mentioned below have been followed and ranks have been determined accordingly.
  • Step-I: Higher % of 12th Std. (10+2) Examination
  • Step-II: Higher % of 10th Std. Examination
  • Step-III: Date of Birth Signifying Seniority in age, with older candidate getting preference
• The names of the candidates and other data, submitted by them, have been extracted from the online submissions for preparation of the Provisional Broad Merit cum Rank lists. In case of any incorrect input, the candidature of the candidate will stand cancelled.
• Detailed Counseling Notice for Provisional Admission will be published shortly along with the dates of counseling based on the prescribed eligibility criteria and seat matrix in the relevant course.
• All admissions including the Broad Merit cum Rank Lists are provisional and only after verification of the data / documents of a candidate, the admission will be confirmed.
• The University reserves the right to rectify the lists in case any error is detected arising out of technical reasons.
• The University reserves all the rights to include any deserving candidate, if it is found that due to mistake on the part of the University, the name of such candidate has not been enlisted.
• The University reserves all the rights to drop or exclude any candidate or cancel the candidature of the candidate at any stage of admission, if it is found that the candidate has entered any of his/her data fraudulently/incorrectly at the time of submission of online application form for Admission to Foreign Language courses of studies for the Session: 2024-2025 under the Faculty Council (Arts etc.), B.U.
