  • ABC ID, CASTE CERTIFICATE WITH NUMBER OF THE CANDIDATES, IS MANDATORY FOR FILLING-UP THE APPLICATION FORM.
  • SC/ST/OBC CANDIDATES OF OUTSIDE THE STATE OF WEST BENGAL SHALL BE TREATED AS GENERAL CATEGORY CANDIDATES. OBC CANDIDTATE SHOULD PRODUCE VALID OBC (NonCRÈME LAYER) CERTIFICATE AT THE TIME OF DOCUMENT VERIFICATION FAILING WHICH SUCH STUDENT WILL BE TREATED AS GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENT AND ACCORDINGLY HIS CANDIDATURE WILL BE CANCELLED.
  • THERE WILL BE NO APPLICATION FEES FOR SUBMITTING THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM.
  • PLEASE AVOID WAITING UNTIL THE LAST DAY TO SUBMIT YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION TO PREVENT ANY LAST-MINUTE RUSH.
  • ADMISSION INTO MLIS COURSE WILL BE STRICTLY BASED ON MERIT AND RESERVATION CRITERIA.
  • PUBLICATION OF NAMES IN THE MERIT LIST DOES NOT NECESSARILY ASSURE THE RIGHT OF ADMISSION IN THE APPLIED COURSE.
  • IN CASE OF ANY DISCREPANCY FOUND DURING AND/OR AFTER THE VERIFICATION, THE CANDIDATURE OF THE CONCERNED CANDIDATE WILL BE CANCELLED SUMMARILY.
  • AND ADMISSION FEES WILL BE FORFEITED.
  • In case of MLIS course applicant have to submit a declaration that he or she is not pursing in the same session any other regular course/s from any institution/s.
The ratio for Home University (CBPBU) students and Other University students shall be in the ratio of 80:20. However, the unfilled Other University Seats, if any, will be filled up by the Home University (CBPBU) students and vice-versa.
SPORTS QUOTA / NCC / NSS: (01) One seat is reserved under Sports / NCC / NSS Quota from the total intake of each Subject. For availing admission under Sports Quota, at least a “District Level Sports” Certificate is mandatory. For availing of Admission under the NCC Quota, at least a “C” Certificate is mandatory. For availing of Admission under the NSS quota, at least “The names of NSS volunteers should be published in the previous three consecutive NSS lists published by the University in this regard.”
