University of Calcutta offers 4 Yr. B.Tech program under the Faculty of Engineering & Technology
in following streams/ subjects.
Admission after (10+2) level through WBJEE

Eligibility Criteria for admission to 1st Year of 4 Year B.Tech in University of Calcutta

• WBJEE -2026 Rank.
• Pass 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board in regular class mode with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (55% for the reserve Category students i.e. SC, ST, OBC, PWD, EWS) marks in the above three subjects taken together, individual pass marks (both in Theory & Practical where ever applicable) in each of the subjects and pass marks in English with a minimum of 30% in the said qualifying examination.
• JEE Main not applicable.

Schedule of Admission:
WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF SCHEDULE OF COUNCILING OF WBJEE BOARD.

Venue of Verification and Admission:
University of Calcutta, Technology Campus, JD-2, Sector–III, Salt Lake City, Kolkata - 700106 (near KB-KC island).
Office of the Secretary UCSTA, Ground Floor Room No. 4.

Candidate must bring the following documents in original along with self-attested photocopies for verification and admission:

• Original allotment letter from W.B.J.E.E. Board.
• Original Money Receipt of amount deposited in W.B.J.E.E Board and Bank Challan.
• Original School leaving Certificate from the Principal / Head of the School / College last attended.
• Original Medical Certificate of fitness from a registered Medical Practitioner which should state Height, measurement of chest, condition of eye-sight and hearing, bodily infirmities etc. (Format of Medical Certificate available on admission portal).
• Original mark-sheets of Secondary (10th) and Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations passed.
• Original Birth Certificate.
• Original Rank Card as generated by the W.B.J.E.E Board.
• VALID Original Certificates from appropriate authorities for SC / ST / OBC / PWD / TFW / EWS candidates.
• Domicile Certificate (Format of Domicile Certificate available on admission portal).
• Duly filled-in Anti-Ragging declaration (Format of anti-ragging declaration available on admission portal).
• Two (2) copies of recent colour passport size photo.
• Original Aadhaar Card.
• Copy of APAAR Id / ABC Id.

Instruction for online application for 4-Yr. B.Tech.:

• 1. Allotted students those who interested to get admission, after verification will be provided link for submission of online application of CU. They should enrolled first and filled up the application form through link provided to them on online mode at www.caluniv.ac.in / www.caluniv-ucsta.net .
• To submit online application softcopy of recent Passport size (3.5cm x 3.5 cm.) colour photo (in .jpg / .jpeg format less than 20 kb size).
• To submit online application need scan copy of signature of the candidate (in jpg/ jpeg format less than 20kb size).
• E-mail Id should be less than 30 characters. (Password should contain at least one capital letter, one numerical, one small letter and one special character).
• Scan copy of all mark sheets (10th and 10+02) within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format.
• Scan copy of age proof within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format.
• Scan copy of VALID SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate (if applicable) within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format.
• Scan copy of domicile certificate (if applicable) within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format.
• Scan copy of WBJEE Rank Card within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format.
• Scan copy of WBJEE allotment letter within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format.
• Create APAAR Id / ABC Id (Please see the instruction how to create APAAR Id / ABC Id).
• After successful submission of Application Form, download & take a printout of the duly filled in application.
• Download the Format of Medical Certificate from the admission portal and get a medical certificate in the prescribed format from Medical Practitioner and scan copy of duly filled in Medical Certificate within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format.
• Download the Anti Ragging Format from the admission portal and submit the same after signed by the Guardian and the candidate itself before admission and scan copy of duly filled in Anti Ragging Format within max size 200kb in .jpg/.jpeg format. The same to be printed on court paper followed by affidavit by Public Notary and to be submitted in the admission office before commencement of class.
• Sign all pages of application form as well as all documents.
• Candidates have to submit application form along with the documents mentioned above at the UNIVERSITY OF CALCUTTA, Technology Campus, JD-2, Sector –III, Salt Lake City, Pin-700106.
• Payment link for payment of residual amount will be provided to the candidate after verification of CU online application.
• After successful payment of residual amount roll no. will be provided to the candidate.

Scan copy of all uploaded documents must be readable.
If it is found that any information given by the candidate is not in conformity with the original documents, the admission will be treated as cancelled.

Fee Structure (w.e.f. Academic Session 2026-2027): Application Fee:
- Rs. 500/- for General Candidates & others and
- Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD Candidates

For International Students:
Tuition Fee will be US $500.00 or equivalent INR per semester. All other fees will be same as like Indian Students.
Amount in 1st semester (US $500 + INR 3,895.00) and 2nd to 8th semester (US $500 + INR 1,520.00) per semester.
In addition to the above, students have to bear Examination fee per Semester and University Registration fee to be paid separately (if required).
For example:
In General Total Fees for Admission: Rs. 6,895/- (including Application Fee Rs. 500/-)
If payment made in WBJEE: Rs. 5,000/-
Then residual payment: Rs. 1,895/-

**Once the candidate admitted in any course may transfer. In case of transfer of admission, all the fees submitted once may be adjusted but not refunded.
N.B.: For the sake of simplicity, Tuition fee and Laboratory fee for the entire period of course of study has been distributed equally in all semester.
