This is for the information of all students who are beneficiaries/eligible under Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Aasoni (MMNMA), Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni (MMNBA) and the Fee Waiver Scheme of the Government of Assam that, as per the communication received from the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam vide Letter No. E-786283/6 dated 10.07.2026, all Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) under MMNMA and MMNBA shall henceforth be made only through the Aadhaar-based Payment System (ABPS) to the Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.

This is for the information of all students who are beneficiaries/eligible beneficiaries under MMNMA, MMNBA schemes.

Accordingly, all eligible students are hereby directed to ensure the following without fail:

1. Possess a valid Aadhaar.
2. Ensure that the bank account intended for receiving scheme benefits is seeded with Aadhaar.
3. Ensure that the name registered in the SAMARTH Portal exactly matches the name in the Aadhaar. In case of any discrepancy, the same must be corrected immediately.
4. Ensure that the mobile number linked with Aadhaar is active, as it is required for OTP-based verification. If the registered mobile number is incorrect or inactive, it must be updated at the earliest.
5. Students who do not possess a valid Aadhaar are advised to enrol for Aadhaar immediately.
6. Students are requested to comply with the above requirements promptly to avoid any interruption or delay in receiving benefits under the above-mentioned schemes.

All eligible students are advised to complete the above formalities at the earliest. Noncompliance with the mandatory Aadhaar-related requirements may result in delay of benefits under the respective schemes.
