Online applications are invited from eligible intending candidates for admission into the One Year Diploma Programme in Oil Well Drilling Technology (OWDT) programme of Dibrugarh University for the academic session 2026-2027.

The Department of Petroleum Technology of the Faculty of Earth Sciences & Energy was established in 1969 at Dibrugarh University with an aim to produce technically qualified manpower for oil & gas industries. The department offers One Year (2 semester) Diploma Programme in Oil Well Drilling Technology.

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

➤ Strong Industry Academia Linkages: Regular field training is conducted in oil industries for the students as a part of their course work. Industrial Training / Project work/ Field work are carried out in oil industries / institutions on relevant topics under the guidance of academia & oil industry personnel.
➤ Guest lectures on special topics are arranged by inviting resource persons from oil industries like OIL & ONGCL for better industry exposure and to offer practical knowledge.
