ADVERTISEMENT FOR ENGAGEMENT OF GRADUATE (NON-ENGINEERING) UNDER NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING SCHEME AT DR. SHYAMA PRASAD MUKHERJEE UNIVERSITY, RANCH

1. Online applications are invited for engagement of Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentices at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU), Ranchi, under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended).

2. The candidates who have graduated from the State University of Jharkhand/Constituent College/ Affiliated College of Jharkhand State between the years 2021 to 2025 are eligible to apply for the position

3. A total of 20 Apprentices is to be selected for one year at a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,000/- for Graduate Apprentice.

6. The tentative timelines for the selection process shall be as follows:
(a) Start Date of Application: 05/05/2026.

(c) Publication of List of Shortlisted Applicants: 15/05/2026
(d) Date of Personal Interview: 23/05/2026
(e) Publication of Final Selection List: 25/05/2026

7. Shortlisting and Selection of Applicants:
(a) The shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the aggregate percentage achieved, considering all subjects of the Undergraduate Degree.
(b) Shortlisted candidates shall be called for a Personal Interview at a place to be communicated in due course of time.
(c) The maximum marks for Personal Interview shall be 100.
(d) The final selection shall be based on the cumulative score obtained by considering the percentage of marks obtained in the Undergraduate Degree and the Personal Interview in the ratio of 70:30, respectively.
(e) The formula for the calculation of cumulative scores shall be as follows: Cumulative Score = (0.7 x Percentage of Marks obtained in the Undergraduate Degree) + (0.3 x Marks obtained by the candidate in Personal Interview)

8. General Instructions:
(a) The above engagement as Apprenticeship Trainee is purely temporary and does not confer any right/claim whatsoever, either explicitly or implicitly for regular appointment in any post of DSPMU.
(b) This engagement of apprentice shall be valid for one (01) year only from the date of generation of the Apprenticeship Contract.
(c) The selected candidates will be awarded Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) on successful completion of one year of apprenticeship training by the Board of Practical Training, Eastern Region.
(d) Shortlisted Candidates must produce all their original certificates at the time of the personal interview.
(e) DSPMU shall only be responsible for payment of its share of the stipend and bears no responsibility for payment of BoPT share of monthly stipend.
(f) The apprentice shall comply with all the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 as amended from time to time, and all rules issued in this regard.
(g) If the information furnished by the candidate in any part is found to be false or incomplete or is not found to be in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in this advertisement, candidature will be considered as revoked/terminated at any stage of selection process or after joining the apprenticeship, without any reference given to the candidate.
(h) DSPMU reserves the right to modify/cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason, and its decision in this regard will be final.
