Online applications are invited from eligible intending candidates for admission into the M.A. in Performing Arts Programme in a) Sattriya Dance, b) Theatre Art and c) Vocal Music of Dibrugarh University for the academic session 2026-2027.

Eligibility for Admission

For M.A. in Performing Arts (Sattriya Dance) under CBCS Mode:
- The candidates who have passed the Bachelors Programme in Performing Arts / Sattriya Dance / Indian Classical Dance form Dibrugarh University or any other recognized University shall be eligible to apply for admission to the Programme. But being candidates applying for admission into said programme, they will have to appear in the Entrance Test conducted by the Centre, nature of which mentioned below.
- Candidates having Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts or from any other streams may also apply for admission to the programme provided they shall have to appear in an Entrance Test conducted by the Centre, nature of which mentioned below.
- Graduates of any stream having special training on Sattriya Dance by any traditional school/institute or having recognized of performing or teaching of Sattriya Dance in National or State level may also apply for admission. In this case also, the applicants shall have to appear in an Entrance Test corfducted by the Centre, nature of whieh mentioned below.
- Total Seats: 30 (Thirty)
For M.A. in Performing Arts (Theatre Art) under CBCS Mode:
- The candidates who have passed the Bachelors Programme in Performing Arts / Drurna / Theatre Art from Dibrugarh University or any other recognized University shall be eligible to apply for admission to the programme. But being candidates applying for admission into said programme, they will have to appear in the Entrance Test conducted by the Centre, nature of which mentioned below.
- Candidates having Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts or from any other stream may also apply for admission to the programme Provided they shall have to appear in an Entrance Test conducted by the Centre nature of which mentioned below.
- Graduates of any stream having special training on Drama/Theatre Art by any recognized institute or having recognized of performing or teaching of Drama/Theatre Art in National or State level may also apply for admission. In this case also, the applicants shall have to appear in an Entrance Test conducted by the Centre, nature of which mentioned below.
- Total Seats: 20 (Twenty)
For M.A. in Performing Arts (Vocal Music) under CBCS Mode:
- The candidates who have passed the Bachelor's Programme in Performing Arts / Music / Vocal Music from Dibrugarh University or any other recognized University shall be eligible to apply for admission to the Programme. But being candidates applying for admission into said programme, they will have to appear in the Entrance Test conducted by the Centre, nature of which mentioned below.
- Candidates having Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts or from any other stream may also apply for admission to the Programme provided they shall have to appear in an Entrance Test conducted by the Centre nature of which mentioned below.
- Graduates of any stream having special training on Music I Yocal Music by any recognized institute or having recognized of performing or teaching of Music / Vocal Music in National or State level may also apply for admission. In this case also, the applicants shall have'to appear in an Entrance Test conducted by.the Centre, nature of which mentioned below.
- Total Seats: 20 (Twenty)

Note:

APPLICANTS ARE REQUESTED TO PROVIDE MOBILE NUMBER HAVING WHATSAPP FACILITY.
Candidates appeared/appearing in the Final Semester B.A./B.Com./B.Sc. but awaiting result ure also eligible to apply and appear in the entrance test.

Application Procedure

Application for M.A. in Performing Arts Programme in- a) Sattriya Dance, b) Theatre Art and c) Vocal Music shall be through online mode only. No other means of application shall be accepted.
Online Registration for submission of Application Form will begin from 18/05/2026.
The last date for submission of application is 20/07/2026 (till 11:55 P.M.)
For submission of the Online Application Form, intending candidates are advised to follow the following instructions:
- For Online Application, please login to Admission Portal on https://dibru.ac.in or https://erp.dibru.work .
- The Candidate needs to register on the portal by clicking the "Register" button and providing his/her name, mobile number and a password. The mobile number will be verified through an OTP. Please remember the password for login.
- After successful registration, the candidate needs to login using hislher mobile number and the password.
- After login, the candidate needs to click on the "Apply" button corresponding to the link of "M.A. in Performing Arts (Sattriya Dance / Theatre Art / Vocal Music) Programme" which will lead to an application form. The candidate needs to fill up the application form step by step.
- After completion of the filling-up the Form Candidate nedds to click the button "Submit and Review". A preview of the filled-up form will be displayed. Candidates are advised to carefully cross-check the information and if anything needs to be corrected at this stage, they can go back and edit.
- After ensuring that all the information displayed on the Preview is correct, the candidate needs to click "Pay now & Submit the application" and the pay the application fee of Rs. 950/- only through online mode (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking).
- The application form will be considered finally submitted only when the application fee is successfully paid by the candidate and an online receipt is generated confirming the payment.
- There will be a button to download your Application Form for future refenince.
- The Submission of Online Application Forms shall be automatically closed after ttre last date.
- Candidates seeking admission under the Non-Statutory Reservation Quota in the category of Sons and Daughters of the DU Employees / Retired Employees shall have to submit a print out of the Submitted Online Application Form of the M.A. in Performing Arts (Sattriya Dance / Theatre Art / Vocal Music) Programme 2026 along with the self-attested copies of all relevant testimonials and a Filled in Prescribed Form on or before 20/07/2026 at the Dr. Bhupen Hazafika Centre for Studies in Performing Arts, Dibrugarh University [Please refer Clause No. 2 (IV) (a) of 'Reservation and Relaxation Policy for admission into Post Graduate, Under Graduate, Advanced Post Graduote Diploma, Post Graduate, Diploma, Diploma and Certiftcate Programmes (Revised upto, February 2022) available in the Dibrugarh University Website].
Note: Certificate from competent authority must be submitted. Attach additional sheet if necessary.
There shall be no altemative procedure for Application for applyrng to the M.A. in Performing Arts Programme in - a) Sattriya Dance, b) Theatre Art and c) Vocal Music and the University shall not receive the Application except the procrdure mentioned at (2) above.
