Registrations and Admission to Undergraduate Programmes:

  • REGULAR STUDENTS
    The candidate must be a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

    For admission to Undergraduate Programmes at University of Delhi, all candidates (including those applying under supernumerary quota) must register for CUET (UG)-2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in .

    For seat allocations and admissions, candidates must apply to the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS(UG)-2026) of University of Delhi. Details related to allocations and admissions through CSAS(UG)-2026 etc. will be notified separately. Candidate must visit admission.uod.ac.in on regular basis.
  • SCHOOL OF OPEN LEARNING (SOL)
    Candidates desirous of taking admission in SOL must register at sol.du.ac.in and visit the website on regular basis.
  • NON-COLLEGIATE WOMEN EDUCATION BOARD (NCWEB)
    Candidates desirous of taking admission in NCWEB must register at University of Delhi. For details refer to ncwebadmission.uod.ac.in on regular basis.
  • FOREIGN NATIONALS
    10% of Supernumerary seats in each Programme are reserved for Foreign Nationals. Candidates seeking admission under the Foreign Students’ category are required to apply on Foreign Students’ registry website at fsr.du.ac.in .
Important Points:
  • Admissions to all Undergraduate Programmes at the University of Delhi will be based on the scores obtained in CUET (UG) - 2026, except for admissions to the School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) and for Foreign Nationals.
  • An eligible candidate desirous of seeking admission to the Undergraduate Programme(s) of the University of Delhi for the academic session 2026-27 must read the contents of this Bullein of Informaton (BOI) 2026-27, as well as the notifications, updates and informatin published on the website of the University of Delhi (www.admission.uod.ac.in ) very carefully.
  • The details of the programmes offered by various colleges/departments/centres along with the seat matrix, will be published separately on the website of the University of Delhi (www.admission.uod.ac.in ).
  • The candidate must have studied and passed Class XII examination or its equivalent from a single recognized board.
  • The candidate must have studied and passed Class XII examination of any Board / University in India, or any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian UniversiNes (AIU).
  • For admission to University of Delhi, it is mandatory for the candidate to appear in CUET (UG) - 2026 in those subjects in which s(he) is appearing/has passed Class XII.
  • In case the subject studied at Class XII is not mentioned in the CUET (UG) - 2026, the candidate must appear in the Language/Domain Specific subject that is similar/closely related to the subject s(he) has studied at Class XII (for example, if a candidate has studied Biochemistry in Class XII, s(he) must appear in Biology in CUET (UG) - 2026). For establishing similarity of CUET (UG) subjects with subjects taken in Class XII, at least 50% of the syllabus of should match. The University reserves the right for establishing the similarity. The decision of the University in this regard shall be final and binding.
  • Allocation and admission will be based only on the combination of Language/s, Domain Specific Subjects and/or General ApNtude Test (GAT) in which a candidate has appeared in CUET (UG) – 2026 as per the respecNve Programme-Specific Eligibility. For list of CUET papers and syllabus, refer to website of NTA (https://cuet.nta.nic.in ).
  • Only the scores obtained in CUET (UG) - 2026 will be considered for admissions to the academic year 2026-27.
  • The candidate must read the Programme-Specific requirements carefully and then appear in Language/s and/or Domain Specific Subjects of the CUET (UG) - 2026.
  • The candidate is advised to check that s(he) saNsfies all eligibility criteria for the Programme(s) for which s(he) is appearing in CUET (UG) - 2026. Admission is subject to the candidate’s fulfilling the eligibility requirements prescribed for applying to the concerned programmes of study. In case a candidate does not meet any of the eligibility criteria prescribed for applying to the concerned programme and appears in the entrance test, it is at the candidate’s own risk and cost. If at any stage, it is found that eligibility requirement/s is/are not fulfilled, the admission, if granted, shall be cancelled ipso facto.
  • Candidates desirous of seeking admission to University of Delhi will also have to apply to University of Delhi’s Common Seat AllocaNon (UG)-2026. The details related to allocaNons and admissions through CSAS(UG)-2026 etc. will be noNfied separately on the admission website of University of Delhi.
  • Grievance related to non-appearance in CUET (UG) - 2026 or the required Language/s, Domain Specific Subjects and/or General ApNtude Test (GAT) will not be entertained.
  • Before registering for CUET (UG) - 2026, the candidate is advised to carefully read the BulleNn of InformaNon (BOI) 2026-27 and consult the University of Delhi Act, 1922 and the Statutes. The Ordinances, Rules and RegulaNons of the University of Delhi, available on the University website, would be binding on them.
  • Candidates must be careful while filling the CUET (UG)-2026 form as certain fields such as name, signature and photograph of the candidate will be later auto-integrated by University of Delhi from CUET (UG)-2026. These fields will be non-editable.
  • The name of the candidate claiming reservaNon must match with the Candidate’s name as it appears on his/her corresponding school board qualifying cerNficates and in CUET (UG)-2026. Similarly, the parents’ names must also match in the cerNficates.
  • All cerNficates/documents must be in the name of the candidate at the Nme of registraNon and admission.
  • As per Ordinance-I of University of Delhi, there is no minimum age bar for admission to the undergraduate programmesin the University and its colleges except in the programmes where the respecNve regulatory bodies, such as Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council for Technical EducaNon (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), NaNonal Council for Teacher EducaNon (NCTE), Dental Council of India (DCI), etc. have prescribed the minimum age requirement in their regulaNons.
  • Gap year will not be a bar for purpose of admission to undergraduate programmes. However, such candidates must also appear in CUET (UG) - 2026 for admissions in the academic year 2026-27.
  • Appropriate proraNon in CUET (UG) - 2026 scores will be done wherever required (including supernumerary quota).

Eligibility Requirement
Common Minimum Eligibility:
The candidate must have passed the Class XII or its equivalent examination from a single recognized board.

For the purpose of ascertaining the Minimum Eligibility, the marksheet/degree of only one board will be considered.
(For example, if a candidate has appeared in CBSE Board Examination with five subjects except for Mathematics and later appears and passes Mathematics from another board such as the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), the minimum eligibility shall be ascertained from his/her mark sheet issued by CBSE only).

Programme Specific Eligibilities:
Candidate must refer to the Programme-Specific Eligibility to choose the subjects in which s(he) should appear in CUET (UG)-2026.

It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in CUET(UG)-2026 in those subjects in which s(he) is appearing/has passed Class XII. For the purpose of ascertaining Programme Specific Eligibility and for mapping the CUET subject(s) with Class XII subject(s), marksheet of more than one recognized board may be considered provided the candidate has passed those subjects in Class XII.
Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for Admission to Under Graduate Programmes
General Information
Under-Graduate (UG) programmes are offered by the University of Delhi (UoD), through its colleges in various streams of studies under different faculties, namely Arts, Applied Social Sciences & Humanities, Education, Interdisciplinary & Applied Sciences, Music, Commerce & Business Studies, Mathematical Sciences, Sciences and Social Sciences.

Admitting students through UoD’s online platform Common Seat Allocation System (UG) – 2026 (ugadmission.uod.ac.in ) is binding on all Colleges/Departments/Centre of the University of Delhi (admission.uod.ac.in ).
Admission to all UG programmes is done on the basis of the eligibility requirements, criteria and procedures specified by the University on its website, Undergraduate Bulletin of Information -2026 (BoI(UG)-2026) and Undergraduate Common Seat Allocation System -2026 (CSAS(UG)-2026).


The eligibility criteria for every programme offered at the UG level has been published in the Undergraduate Bulletin of Information–2026 (BoI(UG)-2026) available on the admission of the University (admission.uod.ac.in ). Candidates must check the eligibility criteria carefully from BoI (UG)-2026 and the admission website (admission.uod.ac.in ). There are no additional eligibility criteria besides the ones stipulated by the University through its website, BoI(UG)-2026 and CSAS(UG)-2026.

For the academic year 2026-27, admission to all UG programmes of all the colleges of UoD will be done on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) - 2026 (CUET-UG–2026) only. Admitting students through UoD’s online platform Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG (2026)) is binding on all Colleges/Centres/Departments, as applicable, of University of Delhi.
