Online Applications are invited from the intending eligible candidates for admission into the Five Year Integrated Post Graduate Programme (FYIPGP) as per NEP-2020 for the academic session 2026-2027 in the following subjects as Major:

(16) Political Science
(17) Sociology
(18) Statistics

Eligibility criteria:

i) The aggregate percentage of marks or equivalent grade in (10+2) examination will be considered for determining eligibility.
ii) Candidates securing minimum of 60% of aggregate marks or equivalent grade in (10+2) examination shall be eligible for admission. For the candidates of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD categories, the minimum percentage of marks shall be 55% or equivalent grade in (10+2) examination.

Application Procedure:

Admission to the FYIPGP shall be provisioned through the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal (https://assamadmission.samarth.ac.in). The candidates are advised to register in the above portal and apply for admission. For details, candidates are advised to visit the aforementioned website and Dibrugarh University website frequently.

Selection Procedure:

a) 90% of the total seats in each Department of Dibrugarh University shall be filled up on the basis of merit in the (10+2) examination conducted by the recognized boards.
b) Remaining 10% of the seats in each Department of Dibrugarh University shall be filled up based on the performance of the candidates in the Common University Entrance Test for Under Graduate (CUET-UG 2026) programmes in the relevant discipline conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
c) *For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics admissions will be done only on the basis of merit in 10+2 Examination.
d) Statutory Reservation Policy shall be followed as per the Government Rules by the University while preparing the Merit List of the candidates.

Admission Schedule:

a) Admission to all the academic programmes shall be held at respective Departments / Centres of Dibrugarh University. The Schedule and Procedure for admission shall be notified on the website: www.dibru.ac.in along with the list of the Provisionally Selected Candidates prepared by the Admission Committee of the University.
b) The admission and other fees to be paid at the time of admission shall be received through online payment system. The University shall guide the candidates for payment of their fees.
