ADMISSION NOTICE
(ADMISSION OF STUDENTS TO FILL VACANT SEATS IN LL.M. AND M.ED. PROGRAMMES)
SESSION 2025-2026
It is notified for the information of all concerned that if a student remains absent from classes continuously for 15 days from the date of commencement of classes, their admission will stand automatically forfeited as per the existing rule of Gauhati University. As such, the Heads of the Teaching Departments are requested to delete the names of such students from the Enrolment Register. Additionally, some seats may also become vacant if any student(s) voluntarily surrender their admission.
In view of the above, the Heads of the Concerned Departments (Dept. of Education and Dept. of Law) are requested to fill all such vacant seats, if any, by admitting eligible candidates from the already approved waiting list of their respective Departments, in order of merit with proper notification provided that such candidates are not admitted into this or any other institution in the same or other programme(s).
The entire process of admission against vacant seats must be completed by 31/03/2026. The Heads of the Departments are further requested to complete the formalities in Samarth Portal with intimation to the undersigned.
