Admission and List of Guahati University Affiliated B.Ed. Colleges and Intake Capacity 2026

It is for information of all Heads of the Colleges/Institutions affiliated under Gauhati University who are eligible to admit B.Ed. Students for the session 2026-2027 from the Merit List of GUBEDCET-2026 that Counselling of Candidates from among the merit list will be conducted by the respective Colleges/ Institutions as per the following guidelines:

2. Colleges/ Institutions must consider the GUBEDCET-2026. Final Merit List for the selection of candidates from among the applications received by the Colleges/ Institutions with proper verification of necessary documents as per NCTE rules.

3. Colleges/ Institutions will notify the admission process (date of issue of form and date of admission) only after publication of the Final Merit List by the University.

4. The reservation as per Govt. of Assam norms be applied for selection of candidates as follows. Violation of the reservation norms may result in cancellation of the admission process of the concerned Colleges/ Institutions.

5. Submission of NCL/EWS certificate in Current Financial Year from competent authority is MUST for OBC/MOBC candidates without which the candidature will be cancelled. No acknowledgement of receipt/letter is to be considered for selection of candidature. STH candidates should be domicile of Assam. EWS category is valid only for unreserved category.

6. Colleges shall have to admit students strictly on merit (Rank) basis following the Reservation norms. Rank or Marks obtained by the last candidate in the UR category must be the more than any candidates admitted in the Reserved Category.

7. The certified list of Admitted candidates should be sent to the undersigned through google form (to be notified later) on or before 17-08-2026.

8. Colleges/Institutions should follow the merit list and the timeline for admission failing which the entire admission process of the concerned College/Institutions will be cancelled.

9. First Semester classes for B.Ed. Programme of 2025-2026 session shall commence from 10-08-2026.
