Change of Major for Third Semester FYIMP Students

This is for the information of all concerned that students of the Third Semester of the Five-Year Integrated Masters Programme (FYIMP) seeking a change of Major are required to submit in the prescribed Application Form (Annexure I).

The duly filled-in Application Form, along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) duly signed by the Head of the existing Department, shall have be submitted to the Head of the Department in which the student seeks admission as the new Major.

The Head of the concerned Department shall consider the application subject to the following conditions:

1. Admission to the new Major shall be subject to the availability of vacant seats in the Department.
2. If the number of applications received exceeds the number of available vacant seats, the concerned Department shall conduct a suitable selection process/test and prepare the merit list for allotment of the vacant seats.
3. The decision of the concerned Department regarding the selection of candidates shall be final.

After completion of the selection process, the concerned Department shall forward a copy of the duly approved Application Form of each selected student to the FYIMP Office at NEP Coordination Centre, GU, for further necessary action.
