Fee Waiver Extension Notification 2026

In continuation of the earlier notification vide Ref. No: SECU/UC/2026/3888 Dated 09-10-2026, and in pursuance of the DHE letter vide No. E.539875/2024/4 dated 07/10/2026, it is hereby notified for the information of all concerned students that the last date for submission of online applications under the Fee Waiver Scheme for PG First and Third Semester has been extended up to 25/10/2026.

All concerned students are directed to follow the instructions mentioned below while submitting their online applications through the Assam SAMARTH Portal:

1. PG First Semester Fee Waiver Students: Students admitted to the first semester of postgraduate (PG) programmes under the Fee Waiver Scheme for the academic session 2026–2027 are directed to submit their online applications through the Assam SAMARTH Portal on or before 25/10/2026.
2. PG Third Semester Fee Waiver Students: All third-semester PG students who have already submitted their offline application forms to the Office of the Secretary, University Classes, are directed to submit their online applications through the above-mentioned portal on or before 25/10/2026.

Additionally, PG third-semester students who have arrears/backlogs from previous semesters are also required to submit the online application form under the aforementioned scheme.
It is further notified that the enrolment numbers for PG third-semester students will begin with 84XXXXX (e.g., 8400000, 8400001).

3. Detailed Instructions: For detailed instructions regarding the online application and registration process, students are advised to refer to the attached guidelines.

All Fee Waiver Scheme beneficiaries must complete the above-mentioned process within the extended deadline. Students who fail to complete the online application process within the stipulated time will be required to pay the applicable admission fees through SBI Collect.
