PG Interview for Flood Affected Applicants 2026

This is to inform all shortlisted candidates for admission to the Postgraduate (PG) Programme in the Department of Communication and Journalism, Gauhati University, that the PG Admission Interviews were conducted on 27th July 2026 in both offline and online modes, as per the schedule already notified.

However, the Department is aware that the unprecedented floods affecting several parts of Assam may result in power outages, internet connectivity issues, and other unforeseen disruptions, preventing some candidates from joining the online interview.

In view of these exceptional circumstances, candidates who are genuinely unable to attend the interview, even through the online mode, due to flood-related power or connectivity issues, will be provided another opportunity to appear for the interview on a separate date, which will be announced at the earliest after verification of the circumstances.

Candidates facing such difficulties are advised to inform the Department on or before 3^rd August, 2026 through official email- communication@gauhati.ac.in, so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

The Department remains committed to ensuring that no deserving candidate is disadvantaged due to circumstances beyond their control.
