Notice for Ph.D applicants (Professional/Non-Academic Category)

It is for information to all concerned that selected list of applicants of different academic departments for admission to the Ph.D. programme Professional/Non-academic category of academic session 2026-2027 (Spring) will be published on the Gauhati University website at www.gauhati.ac.in on 24-03-2026. The selected candidates have to complete the online admission process by making payment of admission fees as shown below through SAMARTH from 25-03-2026 to 27-03-2026.



This is issued with the approval of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, GU dated 23-03-2026.

Admission Fee (Professional/Non-academic):

  1. Admission fee Faculty of Arts/Law: Rs 50,000/-
  2. Admission fee Faculty of Science, Technology, Medicine, Commerce & Management: Rs.90,000/-
  3. Monthly fees (Scholars of all Faculty): Rs.2,000/- per month
  4. GURSA (Membership fee): Rs. 100/-
  5. Annual Subscription fee GURSA for 3 years): Rs.300
