PhD Counselling Notification for UGC NET Qualified Candidates, 2026

The following UGC NET qualified candidates have been shortlisted to appear for the Counselling component of the PhD admission process in the Department of English Language Teaching, Gauhati University on Friday, 3 July, 2026.

Candidates are requested to bring the following documents on the day of the counselling.

1. A brief research proposal (word limit: 300)
2. Originals of all documents submitted as part of the application process, including Category certificate (NCL and Domicile Assam) where applicable and marksheets of all semesters at BA and MA level.

Important: The Department reserves the right to select or reject candidates based on their performance in the Counselling component of the selection process and on the alignment of their qualifications and research proposal with the Department's disciplinary requirements.
