Ph.D. Admission Counselling in Department of Education (Autumn Session), 2026 against Vacant Seat

In compliance with the notification issued by Gauhati University regarding Ph.D. Admission for the Autumn Session, 2026, counselling will be conducted to fill up the vacant seat available in the Department of Education. The shortlisted candidates are hereby informed to appear for the counselling as per the schedule given below:

Requirements: (Self-attested one copy of the following along with the originals for verification)

1. Printout of the online application submitted for Ph.D. admission.
2. G.U. Registration Certificate (if applicable).
3. Marksheets and Certificates of all examinations from HSLC onwards.
4. Caste Certificate (for reserved category candidates).
5. EWS Certificate (if applicable).
6. Valid NCL Certificate (for OBC/MOBC candidates, if applicable).
7. UGC-NET/JRF/Qualified for PhD Only Certificate and Marksheet
8. Any other relevant documents as prescribed by the University.

Note: Mere appearance in the counselling does not guarantee admission. Admission shall be strictly subject to verification of original documents, fulfilment of eligibility criteria, availability of seats, reservation policy, and approval by the competent authority of Gauhati University.
