Admission through Decentralized Counselling in the 1st Year of B.Tech. (CSE/ECE/EIE/IT) Programme (2026-2027)

As per Memo No. 380 DTED-18099/6/2023-JD(DTED)-DTED dated 12/10/2026 of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal, online applications are invited from the candidates with valid merit rank in the WBJEE-2026 and those who fulfil the eligibility criteria stipulated by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, Govt. of West Bengal, for admission into the first year (1st year) first semester of B.Tech. programmes in CSE for the year 2026-2027 on or before the below mentioned date(s) against the vacant seats mentioned below.

• Eligibility Criteria
  The candidate must fulfill all the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
  • The candidate must hold a valid merit rank (GMR) in the WBJEE-2026.
  • The candidate must fulfill all the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions asstipulatedby the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, Govt. of West Bengal.
  • The candidate must fulfill all the eligibility criteria for the Bachelor’s DegreeProgrammeunder Faculty of Engineering Technology & Management, University of Kalyani.

  # The applicants need to keep in mind that the vacancy is subject to change during the counseling process.
  
  The changed number of vacant seats, if any, will be announced before the counselling. For ECE/EIE/IT, WBJEE Rank will below 12000 for UR and EWS, will be less then 20000 for SC and GEN-PWD, will be less then 30000 for ST and SC-PWD, will be less then 15000 for OBC.

• Documents to be submitted along with Application:
  The candidate must submit scanned self-attested copies of the following documents along with the application:
  • AADHAR Card
  • WBJEEB 2026 Rank Card
  • Class 10 board Admit Card
  • 10th Marksheet
  • 12th Marksheet
  • Reservation certificate if applicable (As per Govt. rule)
  • Domicile certificate as per WBJEE format (if applicable)
  NOTE: Upload a single PDF file containing the scanned copies of above documents.
• Documents to be carried during Counseling and Admission:
  During the counseling in order to complete the admission process the students must carry:
  • 2 passport size color photos
  • The following documents in original along with one photocopy of each document:
    • AADHAR Card
    • Admit Card of WBJEE 2026
    • Rank Card of WBJEE 2026
    • Class-Xth Admit Card / Birth Certificate for verification of Date of Birth
    • Mark sheet of Class-Xth Examination
    • Mark sheet of Class-XIIth Examination
    • Valid Domicile Certificate in WBJEE prescribed format for West Bengal domicile candidates, if applicable.
    • Valid SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by the Government of West Bengal, if applicable. OBC certificates must be issued on or after 01.04.2026. It must clearly mention that the candidate belongs to non-Creamy layer and sub-category of OBC.
  • Tuition fee (Details available in Appendix-I ) to be paid through digital payment method.
• Documents to be submitted refore commencement of classes:
  • Two Affidavits related to anti ragging compliance (both students copy and guardian's copy)–format attached in the Appendix-II .
  • The Medical Certificate for General Health, Eye and Blood Group (Original) to be obtained only from Gazetted Government Medical Officer / Medical Officer of Government Undertaking in the appropriate letter head of the Medical Practitioner – format attached in the Appendix-III .
• General Instructions:
  • The students already enrolled in some B.Tech. programmes under University of Kalyani may apply for CSE decentralized counseling. However, if selected, such students have to complete the entire admission procedure. For such students the current seat will be canceled. Refund of the fee against the canceled seat will be as per the University admission cancellation policy.
  • The applicants need to keep in mind that the vacancy is subject to change during the counseling process.
  • The seats will be allotted strictly on the basis of the WBJEE rank only.
  • Candidates have to report at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Kalyani 15 mins before the stipulated time on the day of counseling. Candidature will be canceled if the student is not physically present at the time of reporting and counseling.
  • If no fee is paid at the time of admission, the candidature will be canceled automatically.
  • If any student fails to complete the admission procedure / submit the mandatory documents on the day of counseling, the candidature is subject to cancellation leading to cancellation of the seat.
  • If at any stage of admission the information furnished by the candidate is found to be false or incorrect, the University of Kalyani shall have full authority to cancel the admission without further notice.
