PG Semester I Spot Admission 2026-27

Notice regarding on the spot admission PG Semester-I Admission 2026-2027

It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that On-the-Spot Admission to the First Semester of the Postgraduate (PG) Programmes of Kokrajhar University for the Academic Session 2026–27, against the seats remaining vacant after completion of the regular rounds of admission, shall be conducted from 12th to 14th August, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, through the e-Samarth PG Admission Portal.

The available seats shall be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria and verification of the required documents. Once the available seats in a particular programme/department are filled, the admission process for that programme/department shall be closed.

Few vacant seats are available in the following departments:

Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Journalism and Mass Communication, Philosophy, Political Science

Interested and eligible candidates are required to note the following:

  1. Candidates seeking admission under the On-the-Spot Admission process must register themselves in the e-Samarth PG Admission Portal before being considered for admission.
  2. Admission shall be offered subject to availability of vacant seats in the respective PG programmes and fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria.
  3. Eligible candidates shall report to the concerned Department of Kokrajhar University between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM from 12th to 14th August, 2026 for verification of their documents and completion of the admission formalities.


  1. Candidates are required to produce all original documents for verification and submit self-attested photocopies of the following documents:
    1. Printout of the Samarth PG Admission Application/Registration Form.
    2. Selection/Offer Letter downloaded from the Samarth PG Admission Portal.
    3. All original Marksheets, Pass Certificate and Certificates from HSLC onwards.
    4. Provisional/Original Degree Certificate.
    5. Caste Certificate/ Category Certificate (where applicable).
    6. Aadhaar Card.
    7. Passport-size photographs.
    8. First page of the Bank Passbook.
    9. Income Certificate / Ration Card (where applicable)
    10. Migration Certificate, wherever applicable within stipulated time.
    11. Gap Certificate/Affidavit, if applicable.
  2. Admission fees shall be paid through online mode, as applicable.
  3. Mere registration in the e-Samarth Portal or reporting for On-the-Spot Admission shall not confer any right to admission. Admission shall be subject to availability of seats, eligibility, verification of documents and compliance with the prescribed admission procedure.

Candidates are advised to complete the admission formalities within the stipulated period. No claim for admission shall ordinarily be entertained after the available seats in the concerned programme have been filled.
