Candidates, who have successfully completed Bachelor degrees in any stream or equivalent from a recognized University in India or outside, constituted or recognized by the Union or by the State Government, are eligible to apply for the 3-year LL.B. Programme.

Provided that the applicants who have obtained a Bachelor degree after pursuing studies through distance or correspondence methods shall also be considered as eligible for admission.

Candidates belonging to the general (unreserved) category shall have to secure at least 45%, OBC/MOBC (Non-Creamy Layer) at least 42% and SC, ST at least 40% of the total marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination (not only in their major for candidates with a major) to be eligible to apply for the 3-year LL.B. Programme.

Candidates who have appeared in the Degree final examinations are eligible for appearing in the LL.B. CAT 2026. However, admission of such candidates shall be considered as purely provisional and they shall have to submit the Degree Qualifying documents within the stipulated time.

Candidate must clear the LL.B. Common Admission Test 2026 conducted by Dibrugarh University for the academic session 2026-2027.
The University reserves the right to amend these eligibility criteria to align with any future amendments or directives issued by the Bar Council of INDIA.
