2nd list of provisionally selected candidates for Admission to M.A. Sociology, 2026-2027

In continuation to earlier departmental notification dated $5^{th}$ August 2026 pertaining to M.A. (2-Year) admission, it is notified that following candidates have been "provisionally selected for admission to M.A. (2-Year) in Sociology (Sem-I) 2026-27" against the emergent vacancies as mentioned. Admission of the following provisionally selected candidates shall be subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria after verification of relevant original certificates/ dossiers/documents. Therefore, the provisionally selected candidates who are willing to confirm their admission on the spot are notified to come in person with necessary documents to the office of the undersigned on or before 24^th August, 2026 (during 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon). Provisional selection of candidates who do not come for verification or who failed in the verification shall be cancelled and the emerging vacancies will be filled up by the candidates in the waiting list in order of merit.
The last date of admission shall be 24^th August, 2026.

Notes:

• Those candidates who are found to be not eligible or who fail to produce documents for confirmation of admission on or before 24^th August, 2026 shall be automatically cancelled.
• The admission portal for fee payment (online) will be opened only after successful verification and the last date of Admission (for 2nd list) is 24^th August, 2026.
• Regular Classes has already been scheduled from 20^th August, 2026.
• Selection list from the waiting candidates will be out only when there is/are vacant seat(s) that may arise after the last date of admission, i.e. 24/08/2026.
