Submission of Valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) or Revalidation Certificate for Admission Session 2026–2027

In pursuance of Government Order No. 1047/Secy/BCW, dated 29.06.2026, issued by the Backward Classes Welfare Department (BCW), Government of West Bengal, all students belonging to OBC category, whose respective classes are included in the list notified vide BCW Notification No. 945-BCW/MR-23/2026, dated 18.05.2026, and who have been admitted to UG Day & Morning and PG Programmes for the Academic Session 2026–2027 under the OBC category, are hereby directed to produce a valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate / Revalidation Certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026.

Certificates issued prior to 01.04.2026 shall not be considered valid for the purpose of admission for the Academic Session 2026–2027.

 • Accordingly, all students admitted under the OBC category are hereby directed to submit their valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / Revalidation Certificate to University Office–2 on or before 05.11.2026.

Students who fail to submit the valid certificate within the stipulated date shall have their candidature under the OBC category treated as invalid for admission purposes, subject to the applicable rules and regulations of the University and Government of West Bengal.

All concerned students are, therefore, advised to comply with this notice within the stipulated time without fail.
