One-day Spot Counselling-cum-Admission process for MCA Semester-I for 2025-2026 for 11 vacant seats [UR-3, UR PWD-1, SC-1, OBC A-1, ST-2, EWS-3] will be held on 30.01.2026 at 12 p.m. in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of North Bengal.
Eligibility Criteria (as per JECA norms)
BCA, B.SC. (CS/IT or its equivalent), B.Tech (CSE/IT or its equivalent)
• Must have passed in Mathematics at 10, 10+2 levels & graduation.
• Must have 60% marks in aggregate (50% for reserved categories) in 10, 10+2 levels & graduation.
OR
Candidates with non-computing background B.Tech. (Non-computing), B.Sc., B. Com, B.A.
• Must have passed in Mathematics at 10, 10+2 levels & graduation.
Must have 60% marks in aggregate (50% for reserved categories) in 10, 10+2 levels & graduation.
. Such candidates will be required to undergo a two-semester bridge course to be completed alongside the first and second semesters of the MCA programme respectively.
Candidates must have WBJEEB (JECA) General Merit Rank of 2025. The list of the selected candidates will be notified on 30.01.2026 at 2:00 pm and the selected candidates have to take admission on 30.01.2026 by 3:00 p.m. [Rs. 7195/- + Two Filled-up Undertaking(s) of Anti-Ragging by both student and the Parent/Guardian].
