Ph.D Admission 2025-26 Notification

It is notified for information of all concerned that the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the committee approved that:

As per revised admission schedule issued vide notification endst. No. IGU/Acad./2026/127-160 dated 21.01.2026, the classes of Ph.D. Course Work in all UTDs has already been started w.e.f. 30.01.2026, therefore, it is not appropriate to initiate the admission process at this stage.
The admission process for admission in Ph.D. programme in Dept. of English for the session 2025-26 be cancelled.
The admission process for admission against the vacant seats of Ph.D. in Dept. of Law also be cancelled.
The seats be carry forwarded in the next academic session i.e. 2026-27 for admission in Ph.D. programme.
The candidates who have applied for admission in Ph.D. programme in English & against the vacant seat(s) in Dept. of Law may apply for refund of online application form fee deposited by them during the online form filling.
If seat(s) lying vacant for admission in Ph.D. programme for the sessison 2025-26 in any UTS(s), the same shall be filled in next academic session 2026-27
