The Raiganj University is inviting the applications from the interested and eligible candidates for admission to LL.M. & MBA Programs for the academic session 2026- 27. For filling up the Application Form please visit the online portal of the website of Raiganj University: www.raiganjuniversity.ac.in .

General Instructions:
The applicants for the admission to the LL.M. & MBA Programme for the Session 2026-27 are requested to read carefully the followings
Selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. For details please see the University Admission Policy as displayed on the University Website. The reservation of seats will be as per the rules of the state of West Bengal. Further, fraction of 0.5% or more will be rounded to the next whole number.
The candidates who are working require submitting of the NOC during the verification of documents.
Cancellation of Admission: The admission will be cancelled if a student remains absent from classes for less than 75% from the date of admission without any intimation to the concerned Head / Secretary, or any of the faculty members of the concerned Department and furnishing documentary evidence in that regard. On cancellation of admission, the claim for refund will be addressed in accordance with the directives issued by the Govt. of West Bengal and UGC. However, the claim of refund will not be entertained if the cancellation of admission happens due to any types of punishment is awarded to the applicant.
Vacancy in Seats:
Vacancy in the RU Quota: The students of the RU will get the opportunity first to fill the vacancy in the slot, in order of Merit as published in the Merit List for the Students of the Raiganj University according to the respective category of students.
Vacancy in the Open Quota: The students falling in the slot will follow the merit list for the open seats in the respective category.
Sports Quota: As per the University Norms.
Canvassing of candidature in any form for admission is strictly prohibited. It may lead to disqualification of the applicant for admission.
Criteria for Admission
The eligibility criteria for LL.M. at Raiganj University is as under
LL.B with 45% of Marks for the UR applicants. However, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD candidates shall be eligible for relaxation of 5% marks.
Nomenclature of LL.B. Degrees eligible for admission to LL.M.-
Candidates who are in the Final year/Semester LL.B. students can also apply for admission subject to the fulfillment of above criteria at the time of admission.

Criteria for Admission
The eligibility criteria for MBA at Raiganj University is as under
Graduates (10+2+3) who have a valid score card (not older than 1 year on the day of application) of CAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT are eligible to apply.
Graduates (10+2+3) from any discipline from any University recognised by the UGC are eligible to apply.
Candidates who are in the final semester of their graduation (Both NEP and Pre-NEP) are also eligible to apply.
Important Instructions to the applicants
The eligibility criteria for MBA at Raiganj University is as under
The applicants with valid score in of CAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT will have to appear in the GD and PI.
The graduates without a valid score in of CAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT will have to appear for RU-MAT (written test) followed by the GD and PI.
Credit Requirement and Eligibility for the MBA Program for the applicants who completed / appearing / waiting in the final semester examinations under NEP, 2020 and as per the UGC Guidelines on Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes, mandated by the National Education Policy 2020.
A bachelor’s degree with Honours/Honours with Research with a minimum of 160 credits for a 1-year/2-semester PG programme at level 6.5 on the NHEQF (National Higher Education Qualifications Framework).
A 3-year/6-semester bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 120 credits for a 2-year/4-semester PG programme at level 6.5 on the NHEQF (National Higher Education Qualifications Framework).
A 4-year Bachelor’s degree (e.g. B.E., B.Tech. etc.) with a minimum of 160 credits for a 2-year/4-semester PG programme (e.g. M.E., M.Tech. etc.) at level 7 of NHEQF (National Higher Education Qualifications Framework).

An applicant who has appeared in the UG Final Semester Examinations (Both NEP and Pre-NEP) but the results are yet to be published are required to-
appear for the RU-MAT and PI and if selected,
to produce their passed final semester marksheet within 15 days from the date of admission otherwise their provisional admission will be cancelled.
Reservation of the seats for admission in MBA for AY 2026-27 will be governed as per the Govt Rules.

Admission Modalities
The applicants for the admission to the MBA Programme for the Session 2026-27 are to read carefully the followings-
The MBA admission process will involve the written test i.e. RUMAT (written entrance test) as well as Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
The MBA Admission Process shall be followed in the manner as under-
RUMAT (Written Entrance Test): 50 MCQ questions with 2 marks each. There will not be any negative marking in the RUMAT. The particulars of the Written exam is as under-

The Scheme for Distribution of marks for candidates qualified for the GD and PI will be as under- PI and GD: Total Marks 50 (GD- 20 & PI- 30)
Minimum Cut-Off Marks: The minimum cut- off marks both for written and GD+ PI will be 40% i.e. an applicant requires to obtain atleast 40% marks to qualify for GD+ PI and he/she must obtain atleast 40% marks to be considered for preparing the merit panel for admission. However obtaining 40% marks in the written and GD+ PI doesn’t guarantee the admission to MBA Programme at Raiganj University for which the candidate requires to be enlisted into the merit list.
The Merit Panel of the MBA applicants will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in Viva voce and the Scheme for Distribution of marks for candidates qualified for the Viva voce will be as under-

The Merit Panel of the MBA applicants will be prepared on the basis of marks an applicant obtains in GD and PI. In case of tie, the same will be broken considering the marks an applicant obtained at UG> Higher Secondary or equivalent > Madhyamik or equivalent examinations.
