Notice Inviting Applications from the Eligible Ph.D. Scholars of the University for State JRF, 2026

The University invites application in the prescribed format from NET/SLET/SET qualified candidates of Indian National pursuing Ph.D programmes in the concerned or allied subject at this University for the posts of State Junior Research Fellowship. Applications can either be downloaded from the University website www.rbu.ac.in or collected from the Development Office within 29/07/2026 to 28/08/2026 upto 04:00 P.M.
The last date for submission duly filled-in application form is 28/08/2026 (upto 05:00 P.M.).

Please note that those who have already submitted applications in response to the Notification no. RB/DEV/3456/25 dated: 01/07/2025 need not apply again. However, they may submit the copies of their additional Qualifications/Certificates, if acquired after the submission of their applications.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidates having Master’s degree in the concerned or allied subject with 55% marks or its equivalent grade or CGPA (50% or its equivalent grade or CGPA for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) from any UGC recognized University in India.
• The candidate must be NET/SLET/SET qualified in the concerned or allied subject.

• The candidates are advised to fill in the form correctly.
• Seven copies of duly filled-in Application Form (one original and six photocopies)(downloaded from the University website) along with one set of self attested photocopies of the mark sheets of all examinations passed, certificates, caste certificates, if applicable, NET/SET/SLET certificates and a brief synopsis of the proposed research work need to be submitted to the Development Office at 56A, B. T. Road, Kolkata - 700 050, within 05:00 P.M. of 28^th August, 2026 positively.
