Eligibility Test for Selection of Drama as Minor/IDC by Students of the 1st Semester of Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes 2026

It is hereby notified for information of all newly admitted students of the 1st Semester of Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes that, after submission of choices for different components/courses such as Minor and Interdisciplinary Course (IDC), it has been observed that a large number of students have opted for Drama as their preferred subject under the aforesaid components.

As the Department of Drama has limited capacity to accommodate all the students who have opted for Drama, the Competent Authority has decided that the selection of students for Drama as Minor/IDC shall be made on the basis of an Eligibility Test to be conducted by the Department of Drama.

Accordingly:

• Students who have opted for Drama as Minor/IDC shall be required to appear in the Eligibility Test conducted by the Department of Drama.
• Selection of students for Drama under the respective component shall be made on the basis of their performance in the said Eligibility Test, subject to the available capacity of the Department.
• Students who do not qualify in the Eligibility Test shall be eligible to choose another subject/course as their Minor/IDC, as applicable, in accordance with the prescribed rules and availability of seats.
• The tentative schedule of the Eligibility Test is given below:
