Transfer/Cancellation of Hostel Seats of Certain Boarders of M.A.H.C.N. Hostel

In pursuance of the advise of the Chief Warden, Dibrugarh University, and with reference to the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Hostel Rules, 2015 (amended up to 28th October, 2021), particularly the relevant provisions concerning eligibility for hostel accommodation in similar academic programmes, the following directions are hereby notified for immediate compliance:

1. 1. Mr. Sonkalpadeep Bhuyan, Department of Chemistry, ERP ID: 26MSCHEM00008, presently occupying Room No. 82 of MAHCN, is transferred from MAHCN. to GPDCN Hostel, as he is reported to have been a previous boarder of MBCN Hostel( ERP 25DOWDT00008). Accordingly, he shall not be retained as a boarder of MAHCN in view of the applicable Hostel Rules and the relevant provisions relating to hostel eligibility and UGC Anti Ragging Act 2009, clause 6.2(J)-separation of old boarders from freshers. The concerned hostel authorities shall make necessary entries in the hostel records and complete the transfer formalities forthwith.

The hostel seat allotted to Mr. Arpan Buragohain, Centre for Social Work, ERP ID(s): 24PGTTPM00008 / 26MSW00007, presently occupying Room No. 62 of MAHCN., is cancelled with immediate effect, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Dibrugarh University Hostel Rules, including Rule 7.(e) (iii).
3. 3. The hostel admission fee deposited by Mr. Arpan Buragohain shall be refunded immediately, subject to completion of the necessary formalities and adjustment, if any, as admissible under the rules.

The Wardens concerned are requested to take necessary action for implementation of the above directions with immediate effect and to ensure that the hostel records are updated accordingly.
