Venue: Department of Economics & Politics, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, West Bengal
Date & Time: 12th October, 2026 & 13th October, 2026, 10:00 A.M. onwards
Mode of Interview: OFFLINE
Eligibility: As per University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for PhD Programme) Regulations 2022 issued through THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY, NEW DELHI, THE 7TH NOVEMBER 2022 FOLLOWED BY NOTIFICATION No. F.4-1 [UGC NET Review Committee / 2024(NET) / 14068, Dated 27th March 2024] [As Mentioned in the PhD Prospectus 2026 of Visva-Bharati]

Documents to be produced on the date of Interview (Original Proof and set of copies) for verification:

Filled-in Application form as well as government issued original photo Identity card (Aadhaar / PAN / Voter ID)
Mark sheets and Certificates of all Qualifying Examinations UG, PG and NET/GATE with Score Sheet
Reservation Certificate, where applicable
A write up of Research Proposal (of about 1500 words) to be sent to phdadmission.ecopolvb@gmail.com by 08th October, 2026.
In service candidates are required to send the No Objection Certificate from the Employer
