Notification of Interview for Admission to Ph.D. Program, 2026-2027 (hybrid mode)

The eligible candidates are requested to appear (preferably in person, or online through the Google Meet link given below) before the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) on 13/10/2026 and 14/10/2026 (from 10:00 A.M. onwards) for a viva voce (interview) on any of the advertised areas of research as per their choice at the Department of Philosophy and Comparative Religion.

The eligible candidates are requested to submit a signed and scanned copy of the research synopsis, clearly indicating the research area as advertised in the prospectus (2026) on top of the synopsis, on or before 11/10/2026 via e-mail at hod.philcompreligion@visva-bharati.ac.in.

• Group A - (Serial no. 1 to 23 from the attached list of eligible candidates) -
  Reporting Date and Time: 13/10/2026 at 10:00 A.M.
• Group B - (for Serial no. 24 to 45 from the attached list of eligible candidates) -
  Reporting Date and Time: 14/10/2026 at 10:00 A.M.

• Marksheets and certificates of all qualifying examinations.
• JRF/NET (with new regulations) certificates and score cards.
• Reservation Certificates, where applicable.
• A research synopsis in hard copy for those appearing for the Ph.D. viva voce in person.
