Notification regarding verification of documents for PG Semester-I, 2026-27

This is to notify for general information that the candidates who have taken admission to PG programmes in 2026-27 (Phase-I and Phase-II) are requested to report to the institutions allotted to them, for verification of documents from 02.09.2026 to 07.09.2026.

Any candidate failing to report physically to the allotted institute within this stipulated period will automatically have their admission cancelled. In such cases, the admission fees paid by the candidates will be refunded after the formal closure of the admission process, as per the rules of the University.

Candidates admitted to various PG programmes in Phase-II are also requested to attend classes regularly, failing which their admission is liable to be cancelled.

The following documents are to be produced by the provisionally admitted applicants at the time of physical verification.
Documents:

• All the originals of the following documents (4 to 12).
• Printout of the filled-in online Application Form.
• Two Copies of Provisional Admission cum Payment Receipt to respective Programme.
• Self-attested photocopies of all the Mark sheets of Examinations passed (10th & onwards).
• Self-attested photocopies of Registration Certificate of Vidyasagar University / affiliated Autonomous colleges (if admitted under 80% quota).
• Self-attested photocopy of the Admit Card/ Pass Certificate of 10th level Examination or equivalent as evidence of the date of birth.
• Self-attested photocopy of valid Caste Certificate [SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)] issued by the appropriate authority, for those admitted under respective quota.
  [Note: OBC Certificates must be issued by the appropriate authority as per the revised State OBC List issued by the Backward Classes Welfare Dept., Govt. of West Bengal (No. 945-BCW/MR-23/2026, dated 18.05.2026)]
• Self-attested photocopy of valid PWD Certificate issued by the appropriate authority, for those admitted under respective quota.
• Self-attested photocopy of EWS certificate (valid for financial 2026-27 only) issued by the appropriate authority (Govt. of WB, Ref. No.959-BCW/MR-52/2019, dated: 18.05.2023), for those admitted under respective quota.
• Migration Certificate (for other university applicants only) must be submitted within one month from the date of admission.
• Self-attested photocopy of Identity Card / Document.
• Valid ABC-ID Certificate.
• Downloaded and signed copy of students and his/her parent's/guardian's affidavit regarding anti-ragging from the website (https://www.antiragging.in/affidavit university form.php )
