It is hereby notified that applications are invited in the prescribed format for admission to the Ph.D. Programme in the different subjects of West Bengal State University, Barasat, from students qualified for UGC-NET/Joint UGC-CSIR-NET/GATE/SET/SLET/CEED and similar National level tests for fellowship (Conducted by the Agencies/Departments of Central Government). The candidates may download the Application Form from the University website https://wbsu.ac.in .
Downloaded Form is to be submitted along with the application fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees 500/- for SC/ST candidates) in cash to the University Counter from 11:00 A.M. to 03:00 P.M. on any date from 12/06/2026 to 26/06/2026 (except on Saturdays and Sundays and also on University Holidays).

N.B.:
All applicants of the Department of History must also attach a signed research proposal within 1000 words with a suitable title along with the application form.

Fee structure for Ph.D. Programme: Indian Nationals
