Closing date of online application: 31st March, 2026 till 05:00 P.M.

Master’s degree in any branch of Biology/Agricultural Sciences/Physics/Chemistry/Comp. Sci./Maths OR a 5-year degree (e.g. MBBS, BDS) OR a professional Master’s degree (M.Pharm / M.Tech.).

The candidate must have qualified in at least one of the following national-level scholarship/fellowship exams with more than 95% percentile (valid as of 01 August 2026):
CSIR / UGC-JRF, DBT, ICMR, DST-INSPIRE, or GATE

Candidates in Top 10 percentiles of GATE, candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR NET without JRF, may also be considered if they have atleast 6 months of continuous research experience.
All selected candidates will be eligible to receive the regular JRF fellowship (Rs. 37,000/month + HRA as applicable) for the first two years, along with the standard annual contingency. Upon fulfilling the qualifications for registration, the fellowship will be upgraded to SRF (Rs. 42,000/month + HRA as applicable). Selected candidates may also avail of their own national fellowship or the TIFR fellowship.
