Seat Acceptance Deposit, other deposits and Medical Insurance Fee Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions governing the ‘Deposits and Fees’ are as follows:

For GEN Category the Seat Acceptance Deposit (SAD) amount is Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only), whereas for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/GENEWS categories it is Rs. 12,000/- (Rupees twelve thousand only).
If a candidate accepts a seat offer, takes admission and continues with the programme (by attending classes in the first semester and taking the first semester examination in all subjects), then the entire amount paid by her/him as SAD will be refunded.
If a candidate accepts a seat offer but either does not take admission or does not join the programme or discontinues without completing the first semester, the SAD paid by her/him will be refunded after deduction of 75% of the amount as processing fee. All other deposits (except medical insurance fees) will be fully refunded.
The exact amount of the medical insurance premium paid by ISI for each student will be known only after 1 December, 2026. The approximate amount collected now will be adjusted against the refund of deposits.
The refund for all candidates will be initiated by the Dean’s Office in February 2027, and will be credited to their respective bank accounts via online transfer by the Accounts Section of ISI. For this purpose, bank details of the candidates will be collected in due course.
