Eligibility Criteria 2026:

- ADMISSION TO FULL TIME MBA PROGRAM, ACADEMIC SESSION 2026-27:

• A. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent of minimum three years duration in any discipline, with at least 60% aggregate marks or CPI 6.5 [55% aggregate marks or CPI 6.0 in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Specially Abled (SA) (this may also be referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)].


• B. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. However, marks sheet of qualifying examination must be submitted to the office of Dean (Academic) within six weeks from the last date of registration, failing which the admission will be cancelled automatically.


• C. Applicants should note that the mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by the Institute.


• D. Applicants must have a valid score of any of the following examinations held between July 01, 2025 and April 30, 2026: CAT, ATMA, MAT, CMAT, XAT and GMAT. Respective scores need to be available by May 08, 2026.

Note: IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

The process of application for all candidates applying under ‘1: FULL TIME MBA PROGRAM’ above, is described in the section titled ‘Admission Procedure’.

- LIMTED SEATS AVAILABLE UNDER FULL TIME SPONSORED CATEGORY, ACADEMIC SESSION 2026-27:

• A. Candidates need to fulfil minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned in 1A.


• B. Admissions under this category will be made in accordance with Clause 3.4.1.3 (Admission to Full- Time Sponsored Category) of the Institute’s Ordinances for Masters’ Programmes, which state that: “Full-Time sponsored Masters' programmes students are those who receive financial support from AICTE under QIP scheme OR from Government / Semi Government organizations / institutions, OR Research and Development organizations of national repute, OR companies listed with any of the national stock exchanges OR AICTE recognized educational Institutions having presence since last 25 years, under study leave. Such a candidate must be sponsored by his/her employer and must have been in employment with the sponsoring organization for at least two years at the time of admission date as on the last date of application.”
  Candidates in service are to be relieved on authorized leave from the organization for the full-time course at the Institute and must furnish proof of sponsorship along with No-Objection certificate from the employer.”


• C. Admissions will be made on the basis of a selection process comprising a written evaluation followed by interaction of the candidates with the Selection Committee constituted for the purpose. Candidates eligible under this category are NOT REQUIRED to have appeared for the competitive examinations listed at 1 D.

All candidates applying under ‘2: FULL TIME SPONSORED CATEGORY’ above are required to route their applications on plain paper directly to the Office of the Head, School of Management Studies, MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj-211004, U.P. India, along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,200/- favouring ‘Director MNNIT Allahabad’. Such candidates are required to ensure that they are eligible as per A-C above prior to applying.

The application must be accompanied by requisite supporting documents as per list given in the section ‘Required Documents’, with the exception of the scorecard of the qualifying competitive examination (listed at 1 D above). Such candidates need not apply through the online application portal.
